Porcelain enamel stations of the Cross are accompanied by review by Biblist Don Renato De Zan and Don Dario Vitali, Professor at the Pontifical Gregorian University. Rectangular icons on MDF table.

Porcelain enamel is heated until 900 °C (1,650 °F). The icon is glued on a MDF board. The board is covered with "gesso" and then gilded with 24k gold leaves. This technique, called "bole gilding"  involves the use of the highest quality materials and best workmanship. Thanks to bole gilding,  the gold-gilt surface becomes very bright and smooth with exquisite red reflections. The brillant colours of the icons are enhanced by the glossy water-based finish.

  • Size of the enamel icon: cm. 30x40 (11,8x15,7 in)
  • Size of the board: cm. 45x60x3 (17,7x23,6x1,2 in.)
